Why You Should Try Wattpad

A while ago, I saw Talli Roland talking about Wattpad, and well, having the desire to follow in her amazing footsteps, I thought I'd sign up and give it a try. Didn't like it. Didn't get it. Nobody had any interest in my work, so I left it where it was and forgot about it. Then an email came, telling me Game On was to be featured on Wattpad's new Chicklit section. Flattered as I was, I was a bit sceptical because I still hadn't really worked out the mechanics of the site yet, and I wasn't sure it was even worth the effort. How wrong I was! Taking a deep breath, I signed back in and took the time to really look around, because who really passes up the chance to be featured alongside the queen of chicklit, Marian Keyes?! Since Game On was featured, I have discovered so much more of what the site is all about, and I'm a little bit in love, which brings me to the title of this post - why you should try Wattpad! If you are a new writer, it's a

Hey guys! My paperback version of Game On with the brand new cover just arrived! and the back cover... It seemed only right to keep the high-heeled woman with football on the cover somewhere! Announcing the Bloghop of Joy (Yup, it is exactly as cheesy as it sounds!)

I promised you a bloghop - aaand here it is! That's right, I am teaming up with the super awesome Clare Dugmore to create The Bloghop of Joy! Here are the details! The idea for this hop came about while watching a Russell Howard DVD. Towards the end, he tells the audience about his "List of Joy." These are the small, sometimes slightly unusual things that always cheer him up - so now we want to know, what is on your list of joy?  In these cold, winter months, everything can seem kind of ... bleak. However, every now and again, something small will happen that makes us smile again. It could be a random memory, something you see on TV, overhearing something that makes you laugh out loud  - just that one thing that makes the clouds part, and the sunshine appear again. We're not talking life-changing moments, just the little things that inexplicably make us smile. All you have to do to be a part of this happy hop is sign up on the Linky List, and on March 1s

Christine Rains 1303: The Dragonslayer Blog Tour!

Christine Rains is on FIRE this month with the releases from her 13th Floor Series! Today, following tradition, Christine talks about the romantic relationship in 1303: The Dragonslayer! 1303 – The Dragonslayer By Christine Rains XAN & LOIS Dragons still walk amongst us. They might look human, but Xanthus Ehrensvard knows the truth. The rest of the world would never believe him, though. Dragonslayers like Xan used to be celebrated heroes, but now they live in the shadows and save innocents from monsters they no longer believe in. It's a lonely life, but it's righteous. Honor and duty matter.   As well as being clean. Very, very clean. Lois King scoffs at superstitious nonsense. With spunk and determination, this reporter will discover the truth. Of course, when the truth happens to be an ancient dragon whom the voters put in the Senate, it's a bit more difficult to grasp. Lois won't be deterred, though. Maybe distracted momentarily by a shirt

Cat and The Dreamer Blog Tour: Annalisa Crawford Talks About The Queen's Golden Jubilee

Yup, because I love Annalisa SO MUCH, she stopped by two of my blogs during her tour! :D Today, she discusses The Queen's Jubilee! It's been a year since my novella Cat and The Dreamer was published! There have been lots of changes in my own life in that time, and I started to wonder what else had changed... Thank you Kyra for inviting me over today! Today's topic: The Queen's Golden Jubilee! In February 2012 Britain was feeling a bit apprehensive, in fact I'd go as far as to say we had a collective feeling we were going to mess things up. 2012 was the year we'd been building up to for a long, long time... This isn't a pro-/anti-royalist post, it's a 'could we handle having a big party?' and 'oh look, we've got an extra bank holiday even though it's in the school half-term holiday' post. After all, even if the monarchy survives forever and ever, it's going to be a very long time before anyone else

Cover love!

Those of you who are friends with me on Facebook will have seen my stress over the weekend as I attempted to sort out new covers for Game On and Blindsided. You'll be glad to hear, I got it sorted out! Due to my laptop dying early this week, I only managed to get one cover done - the cover for Blindsided. It took a while to get it right - most especially for the paperback version - but I ordered myself a copy the second it was available on Amazon (yes, it's actually cheaper and faster to order my books direct from Amazon rather than CreateSpace because of the postage cost!) and it arrived a few minutes ago. And, here is the back cover .... It's blurry because I suck at taking photos, but it looks wicked on the book! (Cover photos were purchased from Shutterstock, not taken by me!) I will post the new Game On paperback cover as soon as I have it. I was too excited to wait to share them both at the same time lol!

And my winner of the Imaginary Friend Bloghop is ....

*drum roll for suspense* JAYBIRD! :D Jaybird - you have won a three chapter critique from me - so feel free to claim it whenever you need it! <3 br="" nbsp=""> Congrats, and thanks to all who took part and helped spread the word about Annalisa's awesome novella, Cat and The Dreamer! Don't forget to visit Annalisa to see her winner! Sorry about the short post, busy times! I will be with you again very soon with details about a new bloghop!

Imaginary Friend Bloghop

Hello, and welcome to the Imaginary Friend Bloghop - in celebration of the one year anniversary of Annalisa Crawford's book, Cat and the Dreamer! I'll be co-hosting with Annalisa, and here are the details! We want to know about your imaginary friend . What were they called? How old were you? Were they naughty or nice? If you didn't have one, were there ever times when you could really have used one? Did you ever set fire to your mum's favourite rug and have to take the blame yourself? Annalisa will be offering a £10/$10 Amazon gift voucher for her favourite post, and I'll be offering a three chapter critique for mine. ** So, my imaginary friend. Well, when I sat down to think about this, I remembered that I never really had an imaginary friend. However, that isn't entirely true. You see, I've always been a writer, even as a child. So my imaginary friends came in the form of the characters I created for my stories. They became very real
