Very late cover reveal and where the heck have I been??

Hey guys! I am SO disorganised this week, it's ridiculous - and I will explain in just a moment, but first, I must post the cover reveal for Cassie Mae's upcoming release, The Real Thing! (Cassie, I am SO sorry I'm so late. It is inexcusable since you have been so helpful to me! Forgive me?)
So, this book... it's about this girl.

And she loves her online time.

Her phone is her buddy.

And her favorite app is her Kindle, because she also LOVES to read.

Read a lot.

Then there's this boy.

He's best friends with this bookworm girl.

He sort of has a thing for her.

But, he's also got major anxiety.

And isn't sure how to make a move.

So when they end up rooming together for the summer, this guy tries to get this girl to put the screen away long enough for him to win her over.

But of course, it's not easy to unplug. Especially for an internet junkie.

Hmm... that girl sounds pretty familiar ;)

And here's the hawt cover for it!

And here's the actual blurb, and not my picture version :)
Eric Matua has one friend—his best friend and childhood sweetheart, who needs a place to stay for the summer. Mia Johnson has thousands of friends—who live in her computer. Along with her email chats and Facebook notifications, Mia also devours romance novels, spending countless hours with fictional characters, dreaming of her own Romeo to sweep her off her feet. When she starts receiving supersweet messages from a stranger who thinks she’s someone else, Mia begins to believe that real love is possible outside her virtual world.
When the two friends become roommates, Mia finds herself falling harder than she ever thought she could. But Eric keeps his desires locked away, unsure of himself and his ability to give his best friend what she deserves in a boyfriend. As her advances are continually spurned, Mia splits her time between Eric and her computer. But she soon realizes she’s about to lose the only real thing she’s ever had.

About Cassie Mae :)

Cassie Mae is a nerd to the core from Utah, who likes to write about other nerds who find love. She’s the author of the Amazon Bestsellers REASONS I FELL FOR THE FUNNY FAT FRIEND and HOW TO DATE A NERD, and is the debut author for the Random House FLIRT line with her New Adult novels FRIDAY NIGHT ALIBI and SWITCHED. She spends time with her angel children and perfect husband who fan her and feed her grapes while she clacks away on the keyboard. Then she wakes up from that dream world and manages to get a few words on the computer while the house explodes around her. When she’s not writing, she’s spending time with the youth in her community as a volleyball and basketball coach, or searching the house desperately for chocolate.

I know this book will be as amazing as Cassie's other books, and I can't wait to read it!

Okay, so, where have I been? I wish I could tell you I've been off on some amazing adventure, but really, I have just been working my ass off to get Sidelined ready for release. Yeah, it's coming out on Monday, and I have barely done any promotion for it because I have been so busy making it shiny, and also, I've had a ton of paid work to deal with too, which is why I am so far behind, and I haven't had a chance to visit all your lovely blogs! I hope you can all forgive me - I will be back on track next week, just in time for everyone's A-Z posts! :D

I will be doing a Facebook launch day party on Monday to celebrate the release of Sidelined, and I will post all the details here as soon as I have them. If any of you would be at all interested in donating an ebook/paperback/gift card/swag, please leave me a comment and I'll be in touch. If you just want to come along and join in with the fun, I will post the event link on the blog in the next couple of days.

Sorry again that this has been such a rush - love you guys!

IWSG: Performance anxiety

Welcome to the August edition of IWSG, hosted by the amazing Alex J.Cavanaugh ! So, as most of you know by now - because I haven't shut up about it LOL - my first novel, Game On, has been released. The blog tour officially starts next week (YAY!) but I find myself becoming increasingly nervous. A blog tour not only highlights my book, but me. What if people don't like me? What if my guest posts suck, and everyone thinks I'm boring? If I can't engage people in 300 words on a blog, they probably aren't going to pick up my book. And then there's the "what happens next" question. I plan to make Game On into a series, which feels a bit arrogant of me. I don't know how many people are going to like the first book, should I really be planning to keep the series going? So far, Game On has actually been incredibly well received. I've had great reviews, so maybe I shouldn't worry about people not liking it, but what if Book Two isn't as goo

Dust It Off Bloghop!

Welcome to day one of the Dust It Off Bloghop, hosted by Theresa Paolo and Cortney Pearson ! This hop is all about the WIPs you wrote, and then shelved! Okay, so I am teaming up with Clare Dugmore for this one, because back in 2006 - yup, we've known each other THAT long lol! - we started to write a book together. Unfortunately, other commitments got in the way and we never finished it - but even so many years on - it's still something we remember fondly, so we're going to dust it off for you! The first day, May 3rd: We want you to post a 1-2 sentence pitch (Great way to practice pitches) about the shelved WIP. Here is the pitch Clare and I came up with: For best friends Caitlin and Tori, their first acting job out of Uni opens up a whole new world for them – unfortunately, it wasn’t the world they were expecting. When the strains of adult life and tangled relationships threaten to ruin their friendship, they are forced to take a look at what’s really importan
