It's Here! Effigy by M.J. Fifield is out now!

It's Effigy Release Day!

EFFIGY (Epic Fantasy), Book One in the Coileáin Chronicles
by M.J. Fifield

Release date: July 22, 2014

Now available in paperback and on Kindle at Amazon and CreateSpace (other editions to follow soon!)

The survival of a once-mighty kingdom rests in the hands of its young queen, Haleine Coileáin, as it slowly succumbs to an ancient evil fueled by her husband’s cruelty.

A sadistic man with a talent for torture and a taste for murder, he is determined to burn the land and all souls within. Haleine is determined to save her kingdom and, after a chance encounter, joins forces with the leader of the people’s rebellion. She gives him her support, soon followed by her heart.

Loving him is inadvertent but becomes as natural and necessary as breathing. She lies and steals on his behalf, doing anything she can to further their cause. She compromises beliefs held all her life, for what life will exist if evil prevails?

Her journey leads to a deceiving world of magic, monsters, and gods she never believed existed outside of myth. The deeper she goes, the more her soul is stripped away, but she continues on, desperate to see her quest complete. If she can bring her husband to ruin and save her people, any sacrifice is worth the price—even if it means her life.

Sidelined Blog Tour PLUS Cat Anthology Details!

Hi everyone,

Today, the blog tour chugs along to Sarah Foster's place, where there will be an excerpt from Taylor from Sidelined's diary, and to Chrys Fey's blog were you will find an excerpt from Sidelined.

I hope you are all enjoying the blog tour so far!

Now, a while ago I mentioned the creation of a cat anthology, with proceeds going to Teignbridge and Totnes Cats Protection! I had enough interest in the project to go ahead with it so I'm getting it set up now with a long deadline, so you will have time to participate if you wish to!

The details:

The story MUST have a cat in it (obviously :p )

You can write a story within your usual genre - even if it's a sci-fi cat, or a paranormal cat, or a love story that has a cat in it

You can write a poem if you prefer

The absolute maximum word count is 2500 words

All entries must be edited by the author prior to publication

You MUST write somewhere on your post that you allow permission for me to use your work in the book

You must also attach a short bio and one link to a place people can find you online

Authors retain copyright for any work submitted to the anthology, and can republish their own work elsewhere, with the understanding that all proceeds for THIS anthology will be going to Cats Protection.

The deadline for your entries is September 5th 2014 - when there will be a bloghop to celebrate so you can show off your work on your blog before they go into the book AND all participants will be entered into a draw to win a $10 Amazon Gift Card! I will be closing the signs ups on Monday as they have already been up a while but if you see this later and want to be involved, drop me an email and I'll see if I can fit you in. :)

Please tell me if I have forgotten to mention anything!

My first audiobook!

Hey!

So, last time I mentioned my first audiobook, If I Let You Go, would be coming soon. Imagine my surprise when it showed up a few hours later! The official announcement and all the buy links are here - I'd love it if you would take a look! I have been a little astonished by the sales so far. Honestly, I never expect to sell anything - I have confidence issues LOL - but I'm thrilled to say people have been buying my little audiobook, which is superb thanks to the talents of my narrator, Keely Beresford. She made me re-fall in love with the words I wrote - words I'd forgotten I'd even written. If you read the book and fell in love with Madison, Dominic and Tilly, you will be blown away by what she did with the story.

I have to rush off right now because I have a blog tour starting next week and I am STILL putting the posts together. Yeah, I know. I cannot believe how disorganised I've been. BUT I am on it now, so expect blog tour posts from me over the next couple of days!
